Descripción:

It is proposed to carry out the classification and characterization of agrarian landscapes of the canton of Buenos Aires, Puntarenas, based on the delimitation of hydrographic basins and in the broader biophysical and sociocultural context of the Brunca Region, by cataloging the existing landscapes, according to Types and Units. From this catalog, the formulation of a proposal for management units is proposed, by focusing on the landscapes.

As part of the methodology to be followed, the determination of the capacity to receive land uses in the landscape units is contemplated, in order to identify the divergences of uses in said units. This will serve as a fundamental input for the proposal of landscape management and protection units, which will also include consulting the organized population of the canton, through participatory workshops, in order to incorporate the aspirations of the population regarding the landscape.
