It is sought through cultural and literary studies to establish contact with a very significant part of the cultural heritage of humanity, precisely with the legacy of the classical world, which begins in Classical Antiquity and which has resonances in Modernity and Postmodernity in various ways.
Thus, at the time of the formulation of this research project, there was not a single work that addressed the texts of Carlos Gagini from the classical tradition, for which reason it constituted, not only in highlighting the erudition of the works of This author, for the establishment of links with the ancient world, but because doing so implied a significant contribution to the study of Costa Rican literature of the 19th century.
